I am happy to participate once again in the winter edition of Viva Viva Fest, a project I am particularly connected to for its ability to bring together people, experiences, and different visions, creating authentic opportunities for encounter and sharing.

From December 29, 2026 to January 2, 2027 we will gather at Bella Italia Village in Lignano Sabbiadoro for five days of music, workshops, play, movement, and new connections, in an atmosphere that invites experimentation, discovery, and experiencing the passage into the new year in a different way. Viva Viva Fest

Viva Viva Fest: a growing community

Created by Bernardo Cumbo, Viva Viva Fest was born from the desire to create spaces where people can meet, share experiences, and discover new ways of living, communicating, and being together.

Over the years the festival has grown, involving musicians, artists, trainers, and professionals from very different fields. What I appreciate most about this project is the focus on participation: people are invited to engage actively, to exchange ideas, and to directly experience what is being offered.

The winter edition will be an opportunity to reconnect with this community and welcome the new year through collective experiences, moments of reflection, and plenty of music.

Music is the Key: my sound expression workshop

This year I will bring two different music-based experiences, both connected to my work on participatory music, listening, and relationship.

On December 30, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, I will lead Music is the Key, a sound expression workshop in which we will explore the possibilities of music as a shared language.

Through rhythmic games, body music, voice, and improvisation, we will build a collective music-based experience together, in which everyone can contribute their own creativity, regardless of musical skills.

I am particularly interested in observing what happens when people who don’t know each other begin to communicate through rhythm, movement, and sound. Just a few musical elements are enough to create connections, develop mutual listening, and discover how natural it is to make music together.

No need to know how to play an instrument or have previous experience. Curiosity and willingness to participate will be enough.

Vocal Awakening: a musical awakening with the kora

On the morning of December 31, from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM, I will instead offer Vocal Awakening, a vocal exploration and listening experience accompanied by the sound of the kora, the traditional West African instrument I often use in my musical journeys.

It will be a moment dedicated to voice, breath, and body awareness, in which I will guide participants through simple vocal practices and a soundscape built with the kora.

An opportunity to start the day calmly, reconnect with your own voice, and experience a more intimate and contemplative dimension of music.

Five days of encounters, music, and experiences

The program for Viva Viva New Year’s 2026/2027 will involve numerous guests and facilitators.

Among them will be Lucia Berdini, who will bring her practices dedicated to play and creativity, Riccardo Averaimo, with experiential work on personal change, and Matteo Gracis, journalist and author.

Music will also play an important role thanks to the presence of Omar Conti, pianist and composer, Banda Rei, and the group Intrafore, which will bring the rhythms and sounds of Southern Italian musical tradition.

The program will be completed by movement, dance, yoga, and collective activities, with the participation of other professionals, including Turbo Paolo, Japa Namdeep, and Ecstatic Grooves. Viva Viva Fest

See you at Viva Viva!

I am happy to return to Viva Viva Fest because I find in this project many of the values that accompany my work: curiosity, listening, the pleasure of experimenting, and the possibility of building something together with others.

Every group is different and every encounter brings new possibilities. This is precisely what continues to inspire me about musical facilitation: creating the conditions for people to meet, express themselves, and discover resources they often didn’t know they had.

See you in Lignano Sabbiadoro to say goodbye to 2026 and start a new year together!
